Vishay has released two new bidirectional single-line ESD protection diodes in a compact SOD-323 package. The space-saving VLIN1626-02G and VLIN2626-02G devices measure only 1.95mm x 1.5mm and have a form factor of only 0.95mm. They provide low capacitance and leakage current to protect automotive data lines from transient voltage signals.
For LIN bus applications, diodes released today provide transient protection for a data line at ± 30kV (air and contact discharge) in accordance with IEC 61000 42. The AEC-Q101-compliant device has a low load capacitance of 15.5 pF typical and a maximum capacitance of 18 pF, which is less than & lt; the maximum leakage current. 0.05μA, working voltage is -16V / + 26.5V or ± 26V. The company said the protection diode is lead-free (Pb) and RoHS compliant.
