Vicor announces new high-efficiency PI3749, PI3751 and PI3755 series buck-boost regulators to expand its Picor Cool-Power ZVS point-of-load (POL) regulator portfolio. By minimizing switching losses, the Picor ZVS topology can achieve efficiencies in excess of 98% and maintain high efficiency over a specified Vin range. High frequency operation (up to 2.5MHz) for optimal power density and transient response. Easy-to-use LGA packaging system (SiP) with integrated controller, power switch and supporting components reduces design risk and time to market. The Picor Cool-Power PI3749 buck-boost regulator covers a variety of high-performance applications including computing, communications, industrial, LED lighting and battery systems. PI3749's operating voltage range is 16Vin to 34Vin, the output voltage is adjusted to 12V to 34V, and it provides output current up to 11.5A, which can provide more than 200W of power. By using single wire current sharing without any additional components, power transmission can be further improved. Picor Cool-Power PI3751 and PI3755 buck-boost regulators are specifically designed for factoring power architecture (FPA) and can be used with VI Chip VTM current multipliers to solve the problem of providing processors (including VR12.5) High-performance point-of-load power issues (++ compatibility in server and data center applications) and memory (including DDR3 / 4 compatibility).
