U-blox, a leading global provider of location and wireless communications technologies and services, announced the launch of u-blox ZED-F9L modules specifically designed for automotive applications. Using fully integrated inertial navigation technology, the module features a new generation of six-axis IMUs, multiple outputs and powerful automotive grade hardware (AEC-Q104), making it particularly suitable for innovative vehicle designs requiring high performance and seamless integration.

U-blox ZED-F9L uses both L1/L5 band signals and six satellite constellations, including NavIC. ZED-F9L provides continuous sub-meter positioning accuracy with advanced built-in algorithms and combines GNSS measurements, IMU data, wheel speed pulses, and vehicle dynamics models to enable reliable positioning and attitude applications even when GNSS services are unavailable.

Operating at temperatures up to 105°C, the module not only supports the TCU (Internet of Vehicles terminal) mounted on the roof or under the smart antenna, but also supports motorcycle applications. In addition, the module incorporates the latest security features such as anti-jamming and sensor-based anti-spoofing technology.

"The new ZED-F9L GNSS receiver is an excellent solution for TCU, iot, V2X and advanced navigation applications. ZED-F9L is the leading ADR product we have been working on for a long time with a number of advanced features, including 50Hz output rate, multiple output options to support different system architectures, and targeted security levels. In addition, the ZED-F9L package is compatible with the ZED-F9K module, so it can also be seamlessly upgraded to the ZED-F9K using RTK technology." -- Martin Wallebohr, Senior Product Manager, u-blox Automotive GNSS
