Toshiba Electronics Europe will enhance its ARM Cortex-based microcontroller portfolio by developing new TXZ series microcontrollers that support the low power consumption and high speed operation of the IoT and M2M ecosystems. The new TXZ series is designed to meet low power consumption by integrating the ultra-low power design technology adopted by Toshiba's TZ series ApP Lite application processor series for Toshiba's IoT solutions into the current TX series microcontrollers. Market demand for the system. The TXZ series is manufactured using a newly-developed embedded flash memory process based on a 65nm logic process. Compared with Toshiba's current microcontroller products, its power consumption can be reduced by 60%. The first product group is TMPM3H, which is part of the TXZ3 family based on the ARM Cortex-M3 core. The TMPM3H group will feature the following products: a small package with 32-100 pins, a flash memory capacity of 32KB-128KB, and standard peripheral functions. Toshiba hopes that these devices will reduce the power consumption of the entire system, and the target power consumption of its microcontroller is less than 100uA / MHz. The company said that sample shipments will begin in the second quarter of 2016.
