The new Olympus 72DL PLUS Ultrasonic Thickness gauge provides high-speed and accurate thickness measurements in a portable, easy-to-use device. Suitable for challenging applications in many industries. With fast scanning, advanced algorithms and minimal thickness capability, the gauge can measure the thickness of very thin layers

The instruments all provide reliable laboratory quality measurements to maximize productivity and output on the production floor. Even if used as a paint thickness gauge, coating thickness gauge or material thickness gauge,

Meters include a full-color touch screen and five measurement layouts to accurately track and visualize thickness changes. And can display up to six layers of coatings, plastics, paints and other materials at a time

Qc inspectors can store and recall Settings for general applications to simplify device Settings prior to each inspection. Guiding the workflow makes it easier to create and save application Settings.

Connectivity and cloud support for Industry 4.0 practices, meters support WIRELESS LAN, Bluetooth and USB connectivity, and integrate into the Olympus Scientific Cloud. Built-in data logging and onboard file management provide streamlined thickness data collection and processing, while PC interface applications include intuitive tools to review and manage data from multiple devices and components.

The meter is suitable for industrial environments and can be used indoors and outdoors, on work surfaces, or utilizing a four-point chest strap or shoulder strap. The meter meets the Anti-drop test standard (MIL-STD-810G) to prevent accidental drops or impacts, meets the DUST and moisture requirements of IP65, and makes reliable measurements in hot and cold climates with a good operating temperature range of -10C to 50C (14F to 122F).

High-frequency models can drive sensors at frequencies up to 125MHz to measure ultra-thin materials -- including multiple layers of paint, plastic, metal and coating -- and display up to six layers of thickness simultaneously. The meter offers measurement speeds up to 2kHz, 60Hz display updates, and clean signals for fast, accurate measurements. These thickness gauges are also available in standard and high-frequency models.
