Tektronix released the latest version of the award-winning 5-series mixed signal oscilloscope (MSO). Through many improvements, the 5-series MSO provides more versatility, while continuing to provide high fidelity waveforms, unique spectrum analysis capabilities and flexible signal access, which are appreciated by engineers all over the world.

Based on the performance and integrity, engineers will rely on the original 5-series mesa, and version B contains a customer-centered update with new auxiliary input, so that users can trigger external signals synchronously without consuming any four, six or eight complete capability input channels. For the optional built-in arbitrary / function generator, the maximum frequency output can be increased from 50MHz to first-class 100MHz, providing higher frequency stimulation for measurement, including Bode diagram and impedance measurement. These new functions are essential to quickly and completely check the power integrity of the distribution network.

In order to meet the needs of engineers working and cooperating outside the laboratory, the new MSO can work together with new tools for offline analysis and cloud data storage. Tekscope PC software analyzes oscilloscope waveform data without connecting the oscilloscope. Control is built into the scope and allows saving to tekdrive cloud storage with a simultaneous button press. Users can simply save waveform data to the cloud, so that teams can work and collaborate almost anywhere in the world.

"Building our 5-series MSO is very intuitive," said Wyatt Callister, associate Test Engineer for product support development at Schweitzer engineering laboratory. "It may be a headache to find the menu on the old oscilloscope, but the information button provided by this new oscilloscope is really useful. It is more beautiful and larger. I appreciate the continuous development and improved functions just released by Tektronix."

Suchi Srinivasan, general manager of Tektronix product line, said: "we are pleased to provide the latest updates for one of our most innovative products." "The new 5 Series B provides users with intuitive operation and advanced measurement, and teams can use our tekdrive cloud computing anywhere."
