Toshiba TLP5222 gate driver optocoupler, provides a highly integrated, multifunctional, 2.5A output current gate driver in a long creepage and gap SO16L package. Typical use cases include IGBT/Power MOSFETs for isolated gate drives, industrial inverters, AC servos, photovoltaic inverters, and UPS applications.
The optocoupler integrates two infrared LEDs and two high gain and high speed photodetector ICs. The device enables high current, high speed output control and FAULT status feedback through electrical isolation between the primary and secondary sides. The device includes desaturation detection, isolated FAULT status feedback, soft gate shutdown, active Miller clamp, UVLO, and automatic FAULT status reset functions.
