Texas Instruments AMC23C12/AMC23C12-Q1 isolated window comparator has short response time. The open drain output is separated from the input circuit by a barrier with high anti magnetic interference capability. The barrier is certified to provide enhanced current isolation up to 5kVRMS and complies with VDE 0884-17 and UL1577 standards. It also supports a working voltage of up to 1kVPK.

Function block diagram

The comparison window is centered on 0V, which means that if the absolute value of the input voltage exceeds the trip threshold, the comparator will trip. The trip threshold can be adjusted within the range of 20mV to 300mV by a single external resistor, so the range of the comparison window is ± 20mV to ± 300mV. When the voltage on the REF pin is greater than 550mV, the negative comparator will be disabled and only the positive comparator will operate normally. The reference voltage in this mode can be as high as 2.7V. This mode is particularly useful for monitoring voltage sources.

Shape of package

The open drain output of the device supports transparent mode (latch input is connected to GND2), that is, the output follows the input state; Or latch mode, that is, the output is cleared at the falling edge of the latch input signal. AMC23C12/AMC23C12-Q1 adopts 8-pin wide body SOIC package. Its rated extended industrial temperature range is – 40 ° C to+125 ° C. Texas Instruments AMC23C12-Q1 device meets the AEC-Q100 standard for automotive applications.
