TDK-Lambda's 40 W and 60 W rated PXD series 2" x 1" DC/DC converters are capable of operating from a wide range of input voltages from 9 VDC to 36 VDC or 18 VDC to 75 VDC. These converters have a copper housing that provides six-sided shielding to reduce electromagnetic interference and simplify system compliance. Industrial control, telecom/datacom, test, measurement, and battery-operated equipment are some of the many applications for PXDs.

The PXD40 and PXD60 converters consist of single output voltages of 3.3 VDC, 5 VDC, 12 VDC, 15 VDC, 24 VDC and 48 VDC and dual output voltages of ±12 VDC, ±15 VDC and ±24 VDC. Using the trim function, individual output models can be adjusted to compensate for voltage drops or to accommodate non-standard system voltages. A wide input range can help reduce inventory options, with one part number covering multiple nominal voltages.

All models come standard with a negative logic remote on/off function that reduces input current to 3ma to extend battery life for portable devices in standby mode. No minimum load is required, and the converter is protected against output overvoltage, overcurrent, and overtemperature conditions. The product has an efficiency of up to 93%, minimal power loss, and can operate from -40°C to +105°C. Output power derating can be reduced by using optional heat sinks and/or system airflow. All models carry the Low Voltage and RoHS Directive CE and UKCA markings and are certified to the IEC/UL/CSA/EN 62368-1 safety standard. The series features 1600 VDC input-to-output and input-to-chassis isolation
