The Texas Instruments TAS5828M 50W Stereo Class D amplifier, now available from Mouser, is a stereo high-performance, closed-loop Class D amplifier that integrates an audio processor up to 192kHz. After starting in software control mode, the device implements classic BQs, three-band DRC, AGL and a proprietary algorithm named HybridPro.

The hybrid-Pro algorithm detects upcoming audio power requirements and provides PWM format control signals for the front DC-DC converter via hybrid-Pro feedback pins. The device supports audio signal delay buffers up to 4ms for predictable envelope tracking, which helps prevent audio clipping due to DC-DC voltage adjustment.

When entering hardware control mode, support switching frequency, BTL/PBTL mode, analog gain, weekly current limiting threshold through pin configuration. This pattern is specifically designed to eliminate terminal system software driver integration efforts.

Typical applications include thermal or efficiency sensitive audio systems, as well as battery-powered speakers, wireless, Bluetooth speakers, bar speakers, and subwoofers
