    STMicroelectronics' ST-ONE is the world's first digital controller to embed an Arm® Cortex®-M0+ core, an offline programmable controller with synchronous rectification, and a USB Power Delivery (PD) PHY in a single package. This system is specifically designed to control ZVS non-complementary active clamp flyback converters to create high power density battery chargers and adapters with a USB-PD interface.

    ST-ONE devices include an active clamp flyback controller and its HV startup on the primary side. The microcontroller and all peripherals required for control translation and USB-PD communication are included on the secondary side. Both sides are connected by embedded galvanically isolated dual communication channels. By using novel non-complementary control techniques and specially designed power modes, the device achieves high efficiency and low no-load power consumption.

     The device ships with pre-installed firmware that handles the power conversion and communication protocols for USB-PD, including optional PPS and electronically marked cable management. Dedicated memory stores the default device configuration at the factory. The user can change or adjust this storage area to suit the final product specification.

    The device features a non-complementary active-clamp flyback topology allowing high power (65 W and above), higher efficiency relative to QR flyback, high frequency operation, and the use of GaN FETs, enabling smaller magnetics in size Small, high integration reduces total BOM, Cortex-M0+ core with 64 kB embedded flash allows customization of USB-PD protocol and power conversion stage,and comes with USB-PD 3.1 PPS certified firmware preloaded into flash memory, a one-stop solution for standard applications
