    Review Display Systems (RDS) has introduced a new material technology for AMT's PCap touchscreens. This solution is currently available for PCap touch panels with a maximum display diagonal of 362mm (l) x 216mm (w) mechanical form factor. Cover lens thickness supports 1mm, 1.5mm, 2mm.the AMT Polym Touch solution uses a new polymer composite as the top cover lens to improve the protection of the PCap Touch substrate and significantly improve its impact resistance. The solution uses a polymer compound lens cover that weighs half as much as glass of the same size.

     The implementation of the polymer composite covered lens makes the complete PCap touch solution thin, lightweight and exceptionally durable, significantly improving impact resistance, while still meeting the requirements of the IK10 drop test rating (equivalent to 400 mm from the impact surface drop a mass of 5 kg from above). The composite polymer material also provides UV resistance and meets the ASTM G154-Cycle 1QUV 1000-hour standard for measuring accelerated outdoor weathering conditions. Therefore, it can withstand UV damage without further processing. Operating temperature range: -30C ~ +60C.

       This polymer composite can be applied to various AMT PCap designs and offers a wide range of touch controller support including PenMount P2 series (Microchip IC), PenMount K1 series (ILITEK IC), and AE series (EETI IC) touch controllers .
