The New Yorker Electronics has released the new Cornell Dubilier Electronics DCMC series of aluminum electrolytic capacitors. With greater capacitance and generally higher ripple current capability than its best value 3186 type capacitors, this device is a better choice for high capacitance, power filter and energy storage applications including welding equipment, UPS systems and computer maintenance power supply.

They now offer voltages ranging from 6.3VDC up to 550V rated (600V surge) and capacitances ranging from 110UF to 320,000 uf. They offer standard cans, stud bottom cans and stud with thermal pad options with a choice of seven terminal posts. They are also available in polyester, PVC or without insulation.

These capacitors are constructed from extended cathode thermal pak. They provide improved heat transfer due to a continuous heat conduction path from the core to the shell. DCMC's extended cathode foil ensures heat flow from the capacitive element to the tank for cooling operation. In addition, its light weight improves shock and vibration performance and longer life.
