The nRF52,811 from Nordic Semiconductor is a Bluetooth 5.1 SoC with extensive protocol support. This is the fourth extension of the nRF52 series of platforms, extending several applications and use cases that have been covered by the platform. NRF52811 SoC can locate the direction, which is one of the latest features of Bluetooth 5.1. It is built around 64 MHz Arm Cortex-M4 CPU and has a series of digital peripherals and interfaces, such as SPI, UART, PWM, PDM and TWI. It uses a complex on-chip adaptive power management system to achieve extremely low energy consumption, which has a 12 bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC).
The radio in nRF52811 SoC has comprehensive protocol functions, including Bluetooth 5.1 directional lookup. All Bluetooth 5 have 802.15.4, thread, Zigbee, ANT and 2.4 GHz proprietary technologies. It has 4 dBm transmission power and is optimized to provide the best RX sensitivity of all socs in the nRF52 series: remote Bluetooth: - 104 dBm, Bluetooth LE 1 Mbps: - 97 dBm, 802.15.4 (thread/Zigbee): - 101 dBm
The nRF52811 SoC is supported by nRF5 SDK v15.3.0 and software device S112, and provides samples, libraries, and drivers to get started. All functions of SoC include Bluetooth 5.1 DF, Bluetooth 5 remote, 802.15.4, thread and Zigbee. NRF52840 DK is the recommended development kit. It simulates nRF52811 and can be used as a starting point for development before moving to a custom board. Please note that this development kit does not support Bluetooth direction finding.
