The MIC5219 is a highly efficient linear voltage regulator with peak output current capability, extremely low voltage step-down, and an output voltage accuracy of better than 1%. Voltage attenuation is usually 10mV at light load and less than 500mV at full load.
Typical application
The MIC5219 is designed to provide peak output current in start-up conditions requiring higher inrush current.It has a peak output rating of 500mA. Continuous output current is limited only by package and layout. MIC5219 can be enabled or disabled using CMOS or TTL compatible signals. When disabled, power consumption drops to almost zero. Ground leakage current is minimized to help extend battery life.
Other key features include reverse battery protection, current limiting, over-temperature shutdown, and low noise performance with ultra-low noise options. The MIC5219 offers adjustable or fixed output voltage for space-saving 6-pin (2mm x 2mm) MLF, 6-pin (2mm x 2mm) Thin MLF SOT-23-5 and MM8 8-pin power MSOP packages.
