Micrel - Versatile 50V / 3A power modules suit many distributed power systems (MIC28303)

Micrel MIC28303 50V / 3A power module is used in industrial, medical, telecommunications and automotive distributed power system applications. These units combine a DC-DC controller, power MOSFET, bootstrap diode, bootstrap capacitor and an inductor in one package. The MIC28303 has a unique adaptive on-time control architecture with a power supply range of 4.5V to 50V. It can also be used to provide output currents up to 3A and can be adjusted as low as 0.8V, ensuring accuracy of ± 1%. These devices operate at programmable switching frequencies from 200kHz to 600kHz. The protection functions provided by the MIC28303 include undervoltage lockout, internal soft start, foldback current limit, h-mode short-circuit protection and thermal shutdown.
