The Maxim MAX14874 evaluation kit is a fully assembled and tested circuit board for evaluating the MAX14874 dual relay/valve/motor driver. The kit uses a 4.5V to 36V single power supply, and is equipped with a linear voltage regulator to generate a 3.3V logic power supply. The MAX14874 kit has terminal blocks that can be easily connected to evaluate the operation of relays, valves, or motors.

The MAX14874's dual push-pull drive provides a small and simple solution to drive and control relays and valves with voltages between 4.5V and 36V. The MAX14874 is also designed to drive a brush DC motor. Separate COM pins allow separate monitoring of the driver load current. The peak current can reach 2.5 APWM controlled large motor torque. Low drive resistance reduces power consumption.

The MAX14874 uses a no charge pump design to reduce external components and low power supply current. The MAX14874 has an internal freewheel diode current with penetration protection and inductance absorption. Driver output short circuit protection against supply short selling, and between M1 and M2. An active low FAULT output signal is thermal overload and overcurrent under fault conditions. The MAX14874 is packaged with 12 pin TDFN-EP (3mm x 3mm) and operates in the temperature range of - 40 ° C to+85 ° C.
