Amphenol RF has expanded its cable assembly portfolio with MMCX cable assemblies developed on ultra-flexible 0.81mm micro-coaxial cable. These compact and flexible components are ideal for connecting between PCBs and modules in tight spaces, often used in IoT infrastructure. These 50 Ohm components are available in a single configuration (MMCX right corner plug to AMC4 right corner plug), other components will be released soon.
The MMCX connector is constructed of gold-plated brass, while the subminiature AMC4 is constructed of a silver-plated phosphor bronze body. This component provides reliable electrical performance up to 6GHz. And provide a safe and reliable fit through a quick connect/disconnect mechanism.
These cable assemblies are part of a growing number of solutions designed to meet the demands of ever-shrinking applications. They incorporate a wide variety of MMCX components, designed on a mix of micro-coax types.
