     Texas Instruments' TPS92664 16 device contains four substrings of four integrated switches in series to bypass a single LED. A single substring allows the device to accept single or multiple current sources. And the channel low-noise LED matrix manager provides a fully dynamic adaptive lighting solution by enabling individual pixel-level LED control.

     This device has an internal oscillator. Internal EEPROM stores system defaults and calibration and lighting module data. Onboard ADC with multiple inputs samples all LED channels, IC, die temperature and LED current sense. This ADC also samples dedicated ADC inputs for system temperature compensation, LED binning and encoding. The internal oscillator can be shared with other system equipment through the internal low noise LVDS transmitter and receiver blocks. The multipoint, general purpose, asynchronous, transceiver (UART) serial interface is compatible with the TPS92665, TPS92667, TPS92662x, and TPS92663x devices.

      The unit includes registers to program the phase shift and pulse width of each LED in the string, and to report LED on, short fault, and functional parameters.
