Omron Electronics Europe now offers the W7BB-X01 transparent "bash button" that fits directly into the glass cover of a large display panel to improve user interaction in casino games and similar applications. This sturdy mechanical button is tactile and can be activated directly without leaving the screen.
The bash button is suitable for applications that require quick action and instant confirmation, used in gaming consoles, kiosks and high-end vending equipment. With a total travel of 1.5mm and a low installation height, a large display screen complements the modern and unified look of the device.
A transparent central area with a diameter of 58mm allows the user to see the display through the buttons, allowing the dynamic display of instructions or color graphics. The button is seamlessly physically integrated and visually coordinated with the GUI, and it also provides halo lighting, providing additional flexibility for clear indications and imaginative visuals.
Screwless mounting simplifies assembly and maintenance, with a watertight seal against splashes and leaks. An 84mm chrome bezel provides an attractive appearance, the buttons are attached with a 125mm clear flat-flex tape, and an off-the-shelf 35-pin connector facilitates electrical connection to the host system. Buttons can also be mounted on cover glass up to 3mm thick.
The button has a rated life of 4 million cycles, providing high reliability even under harsh service conditions and helping to maximize uptime in applications where continuous availability is required.
