Diodes Incorporated (Diodes) (Nasdaq: DIOD) introduces two new multiplexing/demultiplexing linear ReDrivers™ that support the 20Gbps DisplayPort™ Ultra High Bit Rate (UHBR20) transmission mode. These two ReDriver devices are the first in the industry to meet the high-speed data transfer demands of DisplayPort.

The PI3DPX20021 is a 2-to-1, 4-channel multitasking device, while the PI3DPX20012 is a 1-to-2, 4-channel demultiplexing device. ReDriver for Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) outputs to share high-end graphics from a single monitor signal source to one of two outputs, or to share two display inputs on a single monitor to meet growing market demands . This product is suitable for various product applications such as mobile workstations, gaming laptops, monitors, computing peripherals, wireless display adapters, industrial computers, docking hardware, and KVM switches.

Both ReDrivers support 8 equalizer adjustment settings, plus 4 adjustment settings for output flattening gain and output amplitude for more effective tuning of signal integrity. It compensates for channel loss and eliminates intersymbol interference (ISI) to extend channel range.

The typical input-to-output delay of the PI3DPX20021 and PI3DPX20012 is only 0.5ns. Both devices are not restricted by the protocol and have the transparent characteristics of link training. When the input is idle, it can automatically enter the power saving mode through the input signal detection function.

The new ReDriver from Diodes is packaged in a 32-pin TQFN package with dimensions of 3mm x 6mm, suitable for implementation in small and compact system designs, and can operate over the industrial temperature range of -40°C to 85°C.
