Diodes Incorporated's new AP3402, AP3419, and AP3429 DC-DC step-down converters operate from an input range of 2.7V to 5.5V to provide loads up to 2A, with excellent efficiency at light and heavy loads.
The high switching frequency of 1MHz reduces the size of external components; combined with a small TSOT25 or TSOT26 package, it can ensure that the board area in the terminal equipment (such as TV, monitor, set-top box, router, laptop and security system) is small.
The 100% duty cycle allows the device to operate at the lowest VIN, while the quiescent current is only 90μA, which helps extend the life of battery-powered equipment. These devices are packaged in industry-standard TSOT25 / 26 pins and have an integrated soft-start function to prevent damage to the output switches, while integrated overcurrent and overtemperature protection (OCP and OTP) protects the system and power supply. The IC is not damaged under fault conditions.
