The diode PAM8100 3Vrms burst-free stereo line driver is designed to eliminate the need for output DC blocking capacitors, thereby reducing component count and cost. This device is ideal for single-supply electronics where size and cost are key design parameters. The PAM8100 can drive 3Vrms into a 2.5kohm load at a 5V supply voltage. They have differential inputs and use an external gain setting resistor to support a gain range of ± 1V / V to ± 10V / V. It provides mute control via external and internal under-voltage detectors for on / off control without popping.
