Artesyn has introduced the LCC600 series, a new series of fanless, conduction-cooled AC / DC power supplies that can provide 600W full power output over a wide operating temperature range of negative 40 C to 85 C. Unlike many power supplies on the market that usually require output derating above about 55C, the Artesyn LCC600 power supply with a nominal 110VAC input feed can maintain its full 600W load capacity at a maximum substrate temperature of 85C. The LCC600 power supply has a universal 90-264VAC input and an optional 180-305VAC input, which is especially cost-effective for users who need a larger budget or additional power. Adjustment. The first available models have a single 28 or 48VDC output for extensive regulation and 5V standby voltage output. It measures 228mm x 101mm x 39.8mm and has a typical efficiency of 93%. The Artesyn LCC600 power supply is housed in a rugged, hermetically sealed enclosure and has an optional IP65 protection rating to prevent dust and water from entering. This makes it ideal for applications that require the same power supply as the outdoor environment powered by the device, such as high-power power supplies for outdoor signage and power supplies for telecommunications installations such as antennas and base station equipment. This power supply is also suitable for indoor use, such as in consoles, indoor signage, and medical applications, as the absence of a cooling fan can help minimize dust and noise. The LCC600 power supply fully complies with the international EN60601-1 medical safety standard approval and can be used for non-patient contact and non-patient critical equipment. Artesyn will expand the series to include other voltage output models.
