On Semiconductor announced that Sierra Wireless has chosen the QCS-AX Wi-Fi 6 chipset to support wi-fi capabilities in its XR family of multi-network 5G routers. The Supercharged XR90 and XR80 routers are designed to provide high performance and seamless connectivity for mission - and business-critical applications over 5G cellular, Wi-Fi, and Ethernet networks.
Chipsets can be configured for dual-band concurrent operation to provide optimal performance while providing access point and workstation capabilities. The family is built with A chip set from Secure Semiconductor that delivers first-class flexibility and reliability in 5G and Wi-Fi radios, while intelligently connecting to the best-performing network at the right time.
