Flex Power Modules offers the BMR510, its first two-phase regulator module, which has a continuous total output current of 80A and can provide a total peak output of 140A at 0.5-1.3V on 4.5-16V inputs. End-use is for power silicon devices with current requirements exceeding 100A, such as cpus, Gpus, IPUs, high-end FPgas, and high-performance ASics, typically found in the latest AI applications. Measuring less than 0.7cm3 (10mm x 9mm x 7.6mm), the module offers a complete power level, including magnetic elements, and is suitable for high-specification regulator modules in space-constrained applications.

The thermal model can be used for effective integration in the target application. Halogen-free units optimize top cooling and provide LGA or optional solder collision terminals for simple assembly. Ultra mild and over current protection, and remote monitoring of sensing values. Provide an enable input, the module will accept a three-state PWM input.

Future devices will offer different phase totals, available output currents, and footprints to support current and next-generation cpus and Gpus. The two-phase facility will be the first of many new VRMS for the company.

"We are positioning the BMR510 as a power-consuming silicon product in products where space is limited but performance is not compromised. It is an ideal power component for high-end applications such as ARTIFICIAL intelligence, big data and autonomous vehicles."Olle Hellgren, Flex Power Modules Product Manager, commented
