Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. is pleased to announce the launch of its new CHA Series of film resistors on August 2, 2024, which have been certified to AEC-Q200 standards. These high-performance resistors are designed to deliver exceptional high-frequency performance up to 70 GHz for applications in automotive, aerospace, avionics, and telecommunications.
The Vishay Sfernice CHA Series features a compact 02016 package size, with resistance values ranging from 10 ohms to 500 ohms. The new devices exhibit ultra-low internal reactance, with a Z/R curve that remains nearly flat across a wide frequency range, achieving performance close to that of a pure resistor. Despite the rigorous AEC-Q200 stress tests, the microwave resistors maintain high-frequency stability, verified by measurements of ΔR and Z/R, ensuring outstanding performance under harsh environmental conditions.
Ideal for applications such as automotive ADAS, LiDAR, connectivity, 4D radar systems, LEO satellites, space communication systems, telemetry, drones, and RF antennas, the CHA Series provides a maximum voltage of 30 V, a power rating of 30 mW at +70°C, and a temperature coefficient of 100 ppm/°C, with an option for 50 ppm/°C. To expedite development and reduce costs, Vishay offers detailed parameter data for electronic simulation, along with 3D models in Ansys HFSS, Modelithics Microwave Global Models™, and design kits. The resistors comply with RoHS standards, are halogen-free, Vishay Green, and come in tape and reel packaging.
Samples of the CHA Series are now available, with production underway and a lead time of 20 weeks.
